Stronger Community Connections

“Connecting People, Resources, and Opportunities”

Copperas Cove is filled with incredible organizations, businesses, churches, schools, and volunteers that work every day to make our community better. Yet too often, residents don’t know where to turn for help, organizations are unaware of available partnerships, and resources operate in silos instead of together.

I believe our greatest strength is our people. By improving communication, collaboration, and accessibility, we can create a stronger, more connected community where every resident feels supported and every organization has an opportunity to make an even greater impact.

My Priorities

Improve Access to Resources

  • Make it easier for residents to find information on local programs and services.
  • Improve communication between the city and community organizations.
  • Ensure veterans, seniors, families, and underserved populations know where to seek assistance.

Strengthen Community Partnerships

  • Encourage collaboration between nonprofits, businesses, schools, faith organizations, and local government.
  • Support initiatives that bring organizations together to solve community challenges.
  • Create opportunities for partnerships instead of duplication of services.

Support Community Engagement

  • Expand opportunities for residents to volunteer and become involved in local initiatives.
  • Encourage neighborhood events that bring people together.
  • Promote civic engagement and open dialogue between city leadership and residents.

Support SAFE Central Texas – Suicide Awareness For Everyone

  • Continue building SAFE Central Texas as a community-driven initiative focused on suicide prevention and mental health awareness.
  • Provide a platform for organizations to educate residents on available resources.
  • Reduce stigma surrounding mental health by encouraging open conversations and community support.
  • Foster relationships that strengthen our community’s ability to respond to mental health challenges.

Promote Collaboration Over Competition

  • Encourage organizations to work together to maximize their impact.
  • Build lasting relationships that create opportunities for innovative solutions.
  • Ensure that no resident falls through the cracks simply because they didn’t know help was available.

My Vision

I envision a Copperas Cove where every resident feels connected, every organization has a seat at the table, and every person knows they belong. Strong communities are built through relationships, communication, and a shared commitment to helping one another succeed. Together, we can create a city where resources are easier to access, partnerships are stronger, and no one stands alone.

Mental Health & Veteran Support

“Because Taking Care of People Is Public Service”

As a combat veteran, community advocate, and founder of organizations dedicated to mental health and wellness, I have witnessed firsthand the challenges facing veterans, first responders, military families, caregivers, and individuals struggling with mental health concerns.

Mental health is not a political issue—it is a community issue. When individuals and families have access to support, resources, and meaningful connections, our entire community becomes stronger.

I believe Copperas Cove can continue to lead by fostering a culture where asking for help is seen as strength, where suicide prevention is everyone’s responsibility, and where no one feels alone in their struggles.

My Priorities

Support Suicide Prevention Efforts

  • Continue expanding SAFE Central Texas – Suicide Awareness For Everyone.
  • Increase community education and awareness surrounding suicide prevention.
  • Promote open conversations that reduce the stigma associated with mental health challenges.
  • Ensure residents know how to access crisis resources and local support services.

Strengthen Support for Veterans

  • Advocate for programs that support veterans transitioning into civilian life.
  • Increase awareness of veteran benefits and available community resources.
  • Support organizations serving active-duty service members, veterans, and military families.
  • Foster partnerships that address isolation, mental health challenges, and quality of life for veterans.

Support First Responders and Their Families

  • Advocate for mental health resources for law enforcement, firefighters, EMS personnel, and emergency dispatchers.
  • Encourage wellness initiatives that address stress, burnout, and trauma exposure.
  • Recognize the unique challenges faced by first responders and their families.

Promote Community Wellness

  • Encourage programs that bring people together and reduce social isolation.
  • Support innovative approaches to wellness, recreation, and community engagement.
  • Advocate for opportunities that improve physical, emotional, and mental well-being for residents of all ages.

Expand Community Partnerships

  • Strengthen collaboration between nonprofits, healthcare providers, schools, businesses, faith organizations, and local government.
  • Improve awareness of available mental health services and support systems.
  • Create stronger networks of care so that individuals can find help before reaching a crisis point.

My Vision

I envision a community where every resident knows they matter, where seeking help is encouraged, and where support systems are visible, accessible, and compassionate.

Copperas Cove should be a place where veterans are honored through action, first responders are supported, families have access to resources, and mental health is treated as an essential part of building a healthy and thriving community.

No one should struggle alone. No family should navigate a crisis without support. Together, we can build a community that prioritizes connection, compassion, and hope.

Transparency & Accountability

“Government Works Best When the People Are Informed”

Trust between residents and their local government is built through transparency, communication, and accountability. Citizens deserve to know how decisions are made, how taxpayer dollars are being spent, and how their voices are being represented.

I believe leadership begins with listening. City government should be accessible, responsive, and committed to keeping residents informed—not just during election season, but every day.

I also recognize and appreciate the work our current city leadership has done to improve transparency. My goal is to build upon that foundation and continue creating opportunities for residents to be informed, engaged, and involved in shaping the future of Copperas Cove.

My Priorities

Open and Accessible Government

  • Encourage clear and consistent communication between city leadership and residents.
  • Ensure important information is easy to access and understand.
  • Promote transparency regarding city projects, budgets, and major initiatives.

Community Engagement

  • Support regular town halls and community listening sessions.
  • Create opportunities for residents to ask questions and share concerns directly with their elected officials.
  • Encourage citizen participation in boards, commissions, and community initiatives.

Fiscal Responsibility

  • Advocate for responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars.
  • Support budgets that prioritize public safety, infrastructure, and quality-of-life improvements.
  • Encourage transparency regarding spending decisions and long-term financial planning.

Responsive Leadership

  • Ensure residents receive timely communication regarding community concerns and city projects.
  • Promote collaboration between the city, businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations.
  • Encourage problem-solving that focuses on practical solutions and measurable outcomes.

Building Public Trust

  • Lead with honesty, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Remain accessible and accountable to the residents I serve.
  • Make decisions based on what is in the best interest of the community as a whole.

My Vision

I envision a city government where residents feel heard, respected, and informed. A government that values transparency, welcomes public input, and earns trust through action and accountability.

Public service is not about titles or politics—it’s about showing up, listening to your community, and working together to create solutions that move Copperas Cove forward.

When government is transparent and accountable, communities thrive because people trust that their voices matter and their concerns are being heard.

SMART, SUSTAINABLE GROWTH

"Supporting Local Businesses and Responsible Development"

I firmly believe that small businesses are the backbone of our local economy. While large corporations and major employers play an important role in bringing jobs, investment, and opportunity to our community, it is our local businesses that hold our community together, make it thrive, and sustain it through times of economic uncertainty.

Many opportunities begin through volunteering, networking, and increasing awareness of the resources available within our corporate and community partnerships. These connections often open doors for employment, mentorship, and professional growth. However, when larger corporations experience hiring freezes, workforce reductions, or economic challenges, it is our local residents and entrepreneurs who step forward to create businesses, generate jobs, and provide opportunities for others.

Our small business owners are more than employers—they are community leaders. They sponsor youth programs, support local nonprofits, donate to community events, and reinvest their earnings back into Copperas Cove. They create jobs, encourage innovation, and help ensure our local economy remains strong and resilient.

My Priorities

  • Support policies that help small businesses start, grow, and succeed.
  • Encourage entrepreneurship and create opportunities for residents to turn ideas into businesses.
  • Promote “Shop Local” initiatives that keep dollars invested in our community.
  • Foster partnerships between local businesses, nonprofits, schools, and major employers.
  • Welcome responsible development that strengthens our economy while preserving our community values.
  • Support infrastructure improvements that prepare Copperas Cove for future growth.
  • Encourage workforce development and create pathways to employment for residents of all backgrounds.
  • Promote tourism, community events, and local attractions that drive economic activity and support small businesses.

My Vision

I envision a Copperas Cove where economic growth benefits everyone—a community where large employers continue to invest, entrepreneurs are encouraged to pursue their dreams, and small businesses have the support they need to thrive.

Our corporations help drive our economy, but our small businesses sustain our community. They create opportunities when others cannot, invest in their neighbors, and help ensure that Copperas Cove remains strong, resilient, and prosperous for generations to come.

LEADERSHIP THROUGH SERVICE

"Showing Up, Taking Action, and Putting Community First"

Stepping up and filling the void has always been a part of who I am. I learned that through my service to our country, and when I came home, that same calling led me to serve my community.

I have always been the first to raise my hand—not for recognition or titles, but because I believe when you see a need, you take action. Leadership is not about waiting for someone else to solve the problem. It’s about showing up, bringing people together, and finding solutions that create meaningful change.

Throughout my life, I have worked behind the scenes building relationships, connecting people to resources, and creating opportunities that directly impact our community. Whether it’s supporting veterans, advocating for mental health, organizing community initiatives, or helping local organizations collaborate, my focus has always been on service before self.

I believe true leadership is about seeing potential in others and bringing them alongside you. It means empowering people, encouraging new ideas, and helping others recognize their own ability to make a difference.

My Priorities

  • Continue showing up and serving the community with integrity and purpose.
  • Build strong relationships that lead to real solutions and lasting partnerships.
  • Identify community needs and work collaboratively to fill the gaps.
  • Encourage innovation and out-of-the-box thinking to address local challenges.
  • Create opportunities for others to become involved and lead within our community.
  • Focus on solutions that produce measurable and meaningful outcomes.
  • Lead by example and inspire others to serve.

My Vision

I envision a community where leadership is measured not by titles, but by actions. A community where people come together, support one another, and work toward solutions that benefit everyone.

I believe in leading from the front, rolling up my sleeves, and doing the work necessary to make a difference. By building relationships, empowering others, and implementing real solutions, we can continue growing a stronger, more connected, and more resilient Copperas Cove.

Service has always been my calling. From serving my country to serving my community, I will continue stepping up, filling the voids, and working alongside our residents to create positive change for generations to come.
